Mix and Match

I read an article last night on the AK-47. It was created by taking all the available technology and putting all of the best ideas together. "Why re-invent the wheel?" they said. Why indeed? Why don't we just create books on different subjects, like the one above. And, then flip the pages around until we get what we want...

Building a New Society

Humans have been building civilizations and nations for millions of years, or thousands at least. There is a wealth of information to draw from... Hopefully, we will be smart enough to draw from the ideas that worked. How many civilizations do you know about?

Obviously, the best societies are the ones that lasted the longest. The ones that changed the course of History the most... "The proof," like the British say, "is in the pudding."

What kind of society should there be? Should there be equality among races, religions, sexes, classes? Or, are we going to stamp these things out? What would be the best form of Government? What are the goals of the New Society?

Off the top of my head, I would say, "The goal of the New Society is the survival and continued upward development of the Human Race." Moreover, If the goal is Human evolution,, then it follows that the goal of the New Society is also to Create the New Man. Averaged out, the New Man is the 'Basic Citizen' of the New Society...

The New Man

On the one hand (at the bottom) we have the Basic Citizen, and, on the other (at the top) we have the New Man. The one is reality and the other is the goal (the dream of what humanity could be). We can't get there from here unless we dedicate ourselves 100% to the task of reaching the goal. The Basic Citizen must adapt, improvise, and overcome. That's where 'survival' comes in. It's going to be a long road, and a very tough struggle. The good news is, a tough struggle always weeds out the weak and the incompetent.

How did Man evolve from the bottom of the food-chain to the top? By using his brain, and a little luck. (Well, lots of luck.) But, by using your brain it is possible to 'create your own luck', or, so they say.

Organization is another way to make progress. If you are organized your operations are theoretically more efficient...

So, let's see where we are: The New Man lives in 'harmony' with nature. He is a survivor. He is resolute (he's not going to roll over and die, or give up the struggle). He is intelligent. He is organized. He is efficient. He is highly adaptable. And, he is healthy and strong.

Plus, he is very lucky.
